What belongs in liquid-cooling commissioning and acceptance?
Direct, data-backed answers to the questions that matter before and during deployment.
Acceptance runs on measured data across five areas: venting and flushing, water quality, flow/pressure/temperature, leak and power recovery. A 550 W-class cold plate is accepted on measured temperature and pressure drop (91 °C / 5.8 kPa); racks close with full-load three-state validation.
What is accepted
Venting and flushing (cleanliness target ≤NAS 6), water quality (conductivity/pH/particulates), hydraulics (flow, pressure drop, branch deviation ≤10%), thermal (chip temperature and margin), sealing (leak, pressure) and safety (power recovery, interlock actions).
How acceptance is organized
In stages: component (prototype data) → rack (full, partial, single-branch states) → system (integration and recovery drills). Acceptance criteria are written at contract stage.
What to watch
Records back operations and warranty: keep test data, actions and owners; unverified items are not assumed pass — confirm item by item.
